We bring you this weekend, a reading list that gives you the best reads that are humorous and that will make you laugh out loud like nothing else!

1) Thank You Jeeves by P.G. Wodehouse
Genre: Humour, General Fiction

If you think of humor, you have to think of the master of comedy himself! P.G.Wodehouse has given comedy fans the unforgettable treasure of laughter and wit in the form of Jeeves, the effervescent man Friday! Thank You Jeeves is the first novel featuring this inimitable valet. The story follows him in the country after he has left the services of Bertie Wooster and taken up employment with his friend in the country who is a man of title with little or no money. If you have read P.G.Wodehouse before, you know the typical style of humour and wit we are talking about; and if you haven't read one before, then this is the best time and the best book to start with!

2) The Importance of Being Ernest by Oscar Wilde

Genre: Humour, Drama, General Fiction

Speaking of classics, this is another classic with a very different and distinct flavour of humor. Two friends decide to bend the truth to suit their convenience and fall in love. Their muses however, love the false personalities they have created for themselves and the friends soon get caught up in their own lies when their deceptions are discovered! This is a comedy of errors that will leave you laughing till your eyes tear up - this is one book you will enjoy reading thoroughly!

3) Bridget Jones Diary by Helen Fielding

Genre: Humour, Drama, General Fiction

From the classics, we now turn to this more contemporary cracker of the laugh-riot based on Jane Austen's classic Pride and Prejudice. Bridget Jones Diary is where our feisty protagonist obsesses over her love life and her everyday struggle with alcohol, her weight, her smoking and her career. Add to the mix, the two gentlemen Bridget has to choose between and her indispensable friends and you have a winner on your hands! You will absolutely love her antics and you will feel for her like you haven't felt for anyone before!

4) Bossypants by Tina Fey

Genre: Humour, Drama, General Fiction

Next on our list is an autobiographical comedy written by Tina Fey. Tina uses funny anecdotes to tell her story. From the days of her nerdy youth to Saturday Night Live; from

her decidedly halfhearted pursuit of beauty to her role as a Mum, Bossypants is her story, in her own words - and very humourous and witty words at that! In this all revealing book, Tina wants us to know what we all already know - you are someone, only when someone calls you bossy!

5) This Is Where I Leave You by Jonathan Tropper

Genre: Drama, General Fiction, Humour

The final read on our list is as emotionally raw as it is funny. It is sincere and insightful. This is the story of Judd who joins his family per his father's dying request: to mourn for seven days - together - like a real family. As the week progresses though, things get out of control, past grudges resurface, and old passions are rekindled.....As you read this exceptionally sincere story, you will find yourself feeling really sad and down in some places; and at the same time, you will find yourself laughing out loud in places too!

And that is where we leave you with our best of humour reading list for this weekend! So, go on, pick up a copy and enjoy humour in its various avatars and have fun!

Happy reading!!
